The Piccolo Family Farm chapel space transforms into a relaxed pop-up piano bar, anchored by the beautiful grand piano and filled with some of the most beautiful music ever written. Expect a thoughtfully curated journey through classical and romantic piano masterpieces, impressionist works, and modern classical favourites — from composers such as Sibelius, Liszt, Kats-Chernin, Chopin, Rakmaninoff, Debussy and Satie.

This isn’t a stiff recital or hushed concert hall — it’s classical music in a warm, welcoming room where friends connect and the afternoon unfolds at its own pace.

Piccolo Family Farm bar will be open, and woodfired pizzas by Limone will be available for purchase on arrival.

Proceeds go toward ArtFarm and supporting local and traveling artists.

Mary-Ellen Wallace is an accomplished classical pianist, who has lived on the central coast for 25 years. 

Mary-Ellen started lessons at age 9 and immediately fell in love with the piano.   She grew up in Sydney and studied with teachers Nita Maughan and Sister Gregory Kerr.  Mary-Ellen obtained her AMusA at age 16.   After school she chose a career in law rather than music and didn’t touch the piano again for 20 years. But she missed her piano and always knew she would play again.  When she reached a stage in life where the kids were older and she had a bit more time, she knocked on the door of the Central Coast Conservatorium, met her inspirational teacher and friend Carl Schmidt and music came back into her life. 

Mary-Ellen believes that, with a bit of hard work, if you learn the language of music when you are young, it will stay with you forever, even after long gaps. It may take a bit of hard work to get your technique back, but you can do it, particularly with the support of a good teacher and an inspiring learning environment such as the Central Coast Conservatorium.  

Mary-Ellen’s aspiration is to share the beauty of the smaller masterpieces of classical piano music, and to inspire people of any age to play, learn and simply listen.  

Mary-Ellen has achieved highly in the International Sydney Piano Lovers Competitions and has participated in masterclasses with world class concert pianists.  She regularly performs around the Central Coast at festivals, art openings, small recitals, community concerts and private functions.  She also holds regular house concerts.

At the Piccolo Family Farm people will be able to listen to some of the most beautiful classical pieces ever written for piano, from around the world – both old and new.  Her repertoire includes masterpieces by Sibelius, Liszt, Kats-Chernin, Chopin, Rakmaninoff, Debussy and Satie.
